Jarrod Hardke is Professor and Rice Extension Agronomist for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service. He was raised on a rice and soybean farm in central Arkansas. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Crop Management and Pest Management from the University of Arkansas and earned his Ph.D. in Entomology from Louisiana State University. He currently resides on his family farm near Carlisle and works out of the Rice Research and Extension Center near Stuttgart, Arkansas. He currently leads the development of production recommendations for rice production in Arkansas, focusing on rice cultivar performance, cultural, fertility, and integrated pest management practices, and leads the DD50 Rice Management Program and the Rice Research Verification Program.
